About Us: Welcome to Ivan’s Campground and Cabins
At Ivan’s Campground and Cabins, we offer families, outdoor enthusiasts, anglers, paddlers, RV travelers, and trail riders a welcoming place to relax and reconnect. Our campground in Baldwin, MI, sits on 15 wooded acres beside the Manistee National Forest, with campsites, rental cabins, an RV rental, and direct ORV and ATV trail access. Whether guests arrive for fishing, riding, hiking, or a quiet weekend outdoors, our goal is simple. We provide a clean, peaceful, and friendly home base where people can explore Northern Michigan and create memories together.

How Ivan’s Became a Favorite Outdoor Retreat
Ivan’s Campground and Cabins was established as a tranquil retreat for people who wanted convenient access to the outdoors without giving up comfort, cleanliness, or friendly service. Surrounded by woods and close to some of the region’s best-known rivers and trails, the property became a natural gathering place for outdoor-minded guests.
Over the years, families, anglers, paddlers, trail riders, and vacationing RVers have made Ivan’s part of their seasonal traditions. Some guests come for a weekend adventure, while others return year after year with children, grandchildren, friends, or club members. Those returning campers have helped create the welcoming community we value today. Our story has always been about more than providing a place to sleep. We give guests a comfortable starting point for fishing trips, trail rides, family reunions, river outings, and quiet evenings around a campfire. The natural setting matters, but the people who share it make Ivan’s truly special.
A New Chapter With Charles and Melissa Taylor
We are Charles and Melissa Taylor, the new owners of Ivan’s Campground and Cabins. Taking responsibility for a property that means so much to returning guests is an honor we do not take lightly. Our goal is to respect its history while continuing to create a relaxing and dependable camping experience.
Much of what guests already know and love will remain familiar. The peaceful atmosphere, outdoor access, established amenities, and friendly campground character are important parts of the experience. As we move forward, we plan to make thoughtful improvements that increase comfort without changing the qualities that make Ivan’s feel like home. We’re also deeply grateful to Dave and Kelly Wieda for their dedication during the previous six years. Their hard work and many improvements helped shape the campground into what it is today. We appreciate the care they invested in the property and the relationships they built with the camping community.

Camping Options for Every Kind of Getaway
Our property includes 60 diverse campsites designed to accommodate a range of camping styles. Guests can choose from full-hookup RV sites, more traditional camping areas, and rustic tent sites beneath the trees. This variety makes it easier for groups with different preferences to enjoy the same destination together.
For travelers who prefer a roof, bed, and additional comfort, we offer seven fully themed rental cabins. Each cabin gives guests a distinctive place to unwind after a day of fishing, paddling, hiking, or exploring. Our team can help guests compare cabin options based on group size and preferred amenities.
We also offer a 28-foot RV rental for guests who want an RV-style experience without bringing their own rig. From solo campers and couples to families and organized groups, our lodging choices make Ivan’s flexible enough for many kinds of outdoor vacations and seasonal gatherings.

Ride Directly From Camp to Local ORV Trails
Trail riders appreciate being able to spend more time riding and less time loading, hauling, and unloading equipment. Our property offers direct ride-in and ride-out access to local ORV and ATV trail systems. Riders can leave from the back of the campground and connect with nearby routes.

Ivan’s has a long tradition of welcoming returning families, outdoor clubs, and groups of friends. Seasonal events add even more energy to the campground and give guests opportunities to connect. These gatherings often become the weekends people remember and plan around each year.
Popular events include Blessing of the Bikes weekend, Kids Weekend, live music weekends, and seasonal Halloween celebrations. Each event has its own atmosphere, from family activities and costumes to music and community gatherings. Guests can review upcoming dates when planning their reservations.
Events are part of how we strengthen the campground community without losing the relaxed environment guests appreciate. Some visitors arrive specifically for a scheduled weekend, while others discover something happening during their stay. Either way, we enjoy seeing new friendships and traditions develop.

When something needs attention, we address it as promptly and carefully as possible. We also respect that every guest has a different idea of the perfect camping trip.
